![]() I didn’t get it on games though where I was sitting down and not moving (GT7, tetris effect, rez etc) Nothing in my environment really changed (lighting etc). However definitely noticed since latest patch, there was difference in tracking similar to issues described here and I would get that error more often in synthriders for example. I saw a lot of posts about people adding “x” marks and experiencing tracking issues I never did any of that and it just worked, scanning was quick and normal. I’ve had mine since launch, and generally no tracking issues, it used to be super rare that I would get the “can’t track surroundings”. Any response or share of the similar issue is appreciated. It is easily visible in the play space setup on the floor, you can see the ps symbols not staying 100% on the same place for a moment when you walk around or move a head quickly, then it readjusts itself. This issue is not as obvious or visible when actively playing shooter for example, only when you are looking for it specifically and you are close to the virtual objects and just looking/moving around them, it's there. I think this may be affecting more people, but they may not realize there is an issue, it may not be as obvious in the game they are playing or they did not have any previous experience with other VR headsets (or VR headsets with inside out solution) so they could not compare the quality of the tracking. I am starting to think this is issue with Sony's tracking algorithm not being perfected yet and I hope they will fix this with upcoming updates but based on the existing threads related to this issue (I went through all of them) I am afraid that there is not enough people reporting this. Quest 2 which works perfectly with full lighting or with just a desk lamp in the very same room, same with Rift S, tracking is always spot on. It's driving me crazy as I know how perfectly stable can the inside out tracking be on e.g. RE8, but I do still realize its happening when I am close to some virtual object and not walking in game with a joystick, its shifting slightly on its own when I move my head quickly and then it readjusts to the correct position just milliseconds after. ![]() It is not an issue most of the time when I am actively playing and I am in action in e.g. I tried resetting cache, re-calibrate tracking, cleaning cameras, change lighting in the room, blind windows, use IR light, put markers on the only empty wall to help tracking but nothing fixed it, maybe helped a bit. It is always visible in play space setup with blue floor and virtual walls, as like the VR floor is not perfectly tracked with the real floor and moves a bit sometimes when I move around and then it quickly readjusts itself. Play space is shifting/slightly moving on itself when I move my head quickly or move in my playspace (guardian zone). I also want to point out that this is my second PSVR2 headset (first was returned due to issues with the controller and was also experiencing this issue even in different room) I recently bought PSVR2 and I love a lot of things about this headset, but this one issue is driving me crazy. Just few additional details, I am a VR player for almost 4 years, started with Rift S, then bought Quest 2. Game Discussions Previous AMAs PSVR Dev?
